Position

Scarlett is Associate Partner and with HVG Law since 2006 during which period she worked for the Dutch desk of Donahue & Partners in New York in 2010 / 2011. She is part of the Japanese Business Services group and the Asia Business Center of EY in the Netherlands.

Scarlett has over 14 year of experience in advising global clients on international corporate and contract law matters in a multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional context (including coordinating and instructing local counsels in over more than 50 jurisdictions).

 

Career

She has experienced in setting up a branch structure with a headquarter in Europe for a Japanese client. She advised on and implemented an acquisition and funding structure for a Chinese multinational in the software business and a US client on the design and implementation of an integrated restructuring project.

Scarlett advised a multi-national client on legal entity rationalization, including a legal feasibility for all of its legal entities on elimination. She set up a new holding company structure for a Japanese client.

Scarlett is a member of the LER (legal entity rationalization) and OME (operation model effectiveness) team and has ample experience in implementing and advising on LER and OME structures.

Education

Scarlett graduated with a Master of Law Degree at the University of Maastricht in 2006, major corporate and commercial law. She successfully completed the postgraduate Grotius Academy in the area ‘(international) contracting.
