Career

Laurent’s practice is essentially focused on mergers and acquisitions and commercial law, including the law applicable to companies in difficulty.
With an interest in the food and pharmaceutical industries, Laurent has represented the interests of many large companies and trade unions in these sectors in France, working in particular with national and EU authorities. He has represented European companies wishing to enter the American market. Laurent also helps Canadian and American companies wishing to establish themselves in Europe.

Laurent started his career as a cultural attaché in West Africa. Practising as a lawyer since 1989, he started in London in the firm Stephenson & Harwood before joining the firm in 1994.
