Career

Gabriël van Gelder joined VanLoman in November 2022 as a partner from DLA Piper, has extensive US Tax experience, due to his two-year secondment to the Dutch Desk of a Big Four firm in New York (period 2017-2019).

Gabriël has over 14 years of experience focusing on tax structuring for various US multinationals and private equity clients.  He specializes in international taxation with particular emphasis on M&A and private equity transactions, tax litigation, international tax planning, corporate reorganizations and investment fund transactions.

Gabriël acts as the lead tax counsel for various private equity funds in relation to tax structuring, funding and tax due diligence. His clients include leading private equity firms and corporates.

Moreover, he regularly publishes and annotates articles with regard to the Dutch corporate income tax act and double tax treaties concluded between the Netherlands and other jurisdictions.
