Career

Marco Gubitosi is the London Resident Partner and a Corporate Finance Partner at Legance – Avvocati Associati, one of the Italian leading law firms with more than 300 fee earners and offices in Rome, Milan and London (www.legance.com).

Marco is recognised by Leaders League in the tier “leading” of Private Equity lawyers – Italy.

As a partner of Legance’s Corporate Finance department Marco provides hands on advice and has been involved in several major transactions carried out on the Italian and international markets. In particular, he has outstanding expertise in corporate finance, LBO, mergers, acquisitions (private and public), private equity buy outs, divestitures, real estate transactions, alternative investments, joint ventures and international expansion of Italian corporations to the global markets. He regularly advises Italian and foreign banks and financial institutions, private equity houses, real estate and sovereign funds, family offices and alternative capital providers, as well as governments and public institutions, corporations and family-owned businesses on a diverse range of transactions.

Marco has developed his expertise both in Italy and abroad, particularly, working in New York, Beijing and London.

Marco is a member of the M&A committee and of the Tax and Legal committee at AIFI (Italian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy and a member of the Council for the relations between Italy and the United States as well as a member of Chatham House in London. He also held the office as Director General of ANSPC, National Association for the Credit Studies.

Education

In 1993 he graduated in Law, at Università degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II”, Naples, Italy.
In 1995 he earned an LL.M. Degree (avec Mention) from the Universitée Libre de Bruxelles, Institute des Hautes Etudes Européennes.
In 2022 he earned an LL.M. in International Corporate and Commercial Law, King’s College London, United Kingdom.
