Position

Helger is the founding partner of Vestius and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures and restructuring. Helger has a deep knowledge of transactions and the structuring and financing thereof. Helger acts on behalf of various clients including national and international private equity funds, large and midsize companies, informal investors and management. Helger has a strong focus on companies involved in IT, (new) media, renewable energy and business with a technical background.

Career

After graduating Helger worked for many years at BakerMcKenzie and Lexence. In 2003 he became an independent entrepreneur and in January 2004 he started Vestius. Helger is also founding partner of Venture Capital Amsterdam, an early stage investment fund.

Education

Helger studied law at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 1996) and followed the postgraduate specialist course in Mergers and Acquisitions at Grotius Academie (2003). Furthermore, Helger completed various courses at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance (AIF) amongst which Finance for Lawyers and Private Equity.
