Helger is the founding partner of Vestius and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures and restructuring. Helger has a deep knowledge of transactions and the structuring and financing thereof. Helger acts on behalf of various clients including national and international private equity funds, large and midsize companies, informal investors and management. Helger has a strong focus on companies involved in IT, (new) media, innovative business and business with a technical background.


After graduating Helger worked for many years at BakerMcKenzie and Lexence. At the end of 2002 he became an independent entrepreneur and in January 2004 he started Vestius.

Netherlands Bar (admitted in 1997).


Helger studied law at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 1996) and followed the postgraduate specialist course in Mergers and Acquisitions at Grotius Academie (2003). Furthermore, Helger completed various courses at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance (AIF) amongst others Finance for Lawyers and Private Equity.
