Position
Dr Björn Simon advises globally operating industrial and family enterprises as well as institutional investors on corporate, contract and capital market law issues. Furthermore, Dr Björn Simon has extensive experience in dealing with M&A transactions, in particular carve-outs and group restructurings.
Career
After studying law and taking an additional course on economics at the Universities of Bayreuth (Germany) and Heidelberg (Germany), Dr Simon obtained a doctorate in capital markets law from the University of Heidelberg. He initially worked as a lawyer for a leading German law firm and then as a corporate lawyer and management consultant in the investment banking department of a private German bank. He then worked in the Corporate/M&A department of an international law firm and joined Luther in 2020.
