Practice head(s):

Testimonials

‘From our point of view, the team impresses with excellent coordination, always very quick reactions to our quite frequent inquiries, a very unbureaucratic procedure that, without being too relaxed with formalities, always manages to develop innovative and fast solutions for the customer . We are very enthusiastic about how uncomplicated and smoothly everything always works there without, as I said, having worries that the formal award conditions are not always observed and complied with. ‘

‘Dr. Mager: Uncomplicated, absolutely clear in addressing and explaining, very customer-oriented, always looking for solutions that help the customer and are still within the framework of the formal framework, always very pleasant to deal with, always easy to approach, extremely experienced.

‘The quality of advice goes far beyond purely legal issues. It refers to overall strategic advice on the best possible project realization while maintaining the framework conditions of public procurement law. This begins with the definition of performance profiles for the tender and awarding to the appropriate planning partners and the demarcation of interfaces to other planning partners and consultants as well as the implementation of legally secure awards. A good knowledge of the market in connection with carefully selected strategic procurement recommendations paves the way for client-side decisions towards the smoothest possible project implementation.’

‘The excellent performance of the team is achieved through the well-established contribution of individual core competencies. All team members are characterized by a very high level of competence in connection with an interactive exchange, which leads to real team performance. ‘

‘ dr Stefan Mager, the law firm partner who looks after our company, is characterized by a high level of competence and great commitment!’

‘Competent and pragmatic support in matters of public procurement law and far beyond at all times.’

‘The practice provides the skills of different specialists, also in ancillary areas of public procurement law or outside of it, in order to achieve a result that is secure in all aspects.’

‘The Luther law firm clearly distinguished itself from other law firms in our projects thanks to its very good consulting services. The solutions offered by Luther were always very easy to implement in practice and made a significant contribution to the successful implementation of the project.’

CLIENT: Dr Thomas Lautsch, Technical Director
COMPANY/FIRM: Bundesgesellschaft für Endlagerung mbH (BGE)
TESTIMONIAL: “There is no role model for the decommissioning of the Asse II shaft mine. BGE has developed an approval concept and an approval strategy will be developed in the course of the implementation steps that will now follow. We are pleased to have the law firm Luther on our side for this.”

CLIENT: Carmen Schwabl, Management Spokeswoman
COMPANY/FIRM: LNVG Landesnahverkehrsgesellschaft Niedersachsen
TESTIMONIAL: “Our collaboration with Luther helped us complete this complex procedure in a timely and secure manner. The law firm has once again proven its excellent expertise in the implementation of EU contract award procedures in the field of mobility”.

CLIENT: Till Schwerdtfeger, CEO
COMPANY/FIRM: AOC Immobilien AG
TESTIMONIAL: “We have been impressed by the professional and at the same time pragmatic cooperation and will therefore rely on the Luther team for further projects.”

CLIENT: David Schnabel, Managing Director
COMPANY/FIRM: Gauselmann
TESTIMONIAL: “The complex procedure, the demanding due diligence and the drafting of the purchase agreement details for this privatisation process could be implemented very well with Luther’s experts. The professional and strategic support throughout this entire process was immeasurably important and helpful for us.”

CLIENT: Björn Polan, Managing Director
COMPANY/FIRM: EK-UNICO GmbH
TESTIMONIAL: “This unprecedented cooperation sets a milestone for university procurement management of the future. The general requirements we named for a cooperation partner were highly complex in terms of content. Luther managed to implement them in such a special procedure as the competitive dialogue in a way that was both compliant with procurement law and economically successful.”

CLIENT: Igor Ferlan, Managing Director
COMPANY/FIRM: Thielmann Ucon
TESTIMONIAL: “Our ambitious goal was therefore to expose the company to the challenges of restructuring proceedings for as short a time as possible. I am pleased with this result after just under five months.”

As a company with an international workforce, the cultural diversity of our employees is a matter of course for our firm. Gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age and sexual orientation shape the individuality of each person. At Luther, we see this diversity as enhancing both our work and in our personal interactions. Colleagues from 23 different nations work in our offices in Germany alone. We are committed to creating a working environment that is free of prejudice and that shows respect, appreciation and esteem for every employee.

The only factors that count in the case of new hires, further training measures and promotions are professional and social skills and personal aptitude.

In 2010, Luther was one of the first law firms to sign the “Charta der Vielfalt” (Charter of Diversity) as a commitment to promoting cooperation free of discrimination and unequal treatment. The initiative is committed to a respectful and unprejudiced working environment and promotes diversity in the world of work.

To promote cross-cultural contacts, we invite colleagues from all our sites in Germany and abroad to a meeting at least once a year, the so-called Practice Day. These events are opportunities for making contacts, sharing ideas both in a professional and personal context, and promoting shared values.

Equal opportunity is a key focus of our HR policy. Almost 60% of our employees are women. We are constantly looking for ways to improve career conditions for female employees and to increase their share of management positions. At the end of the 2020/2021 financial year, 50% of lawyers appointed as partners were female.

Another important milestone for equal opportunities is the establishment of the Luther Female Network in early 2021. The focus of the network is on the internal and external networking of female colleagues, the sharing of experiences among each other and sustainable business development. In regular (online) meetings, the needs of Luther’s female lawyers are discussed, new business ideas are developed and innovative ideas and concepts for clients are developed jointly.

Luther also consistently ensures that men and women are paid equally for equal work and performance.

Parental leave by men and women is supported equally. Part-time employment and the assumption of management tasks are not mutually exclusive. Numerous examples demonstrate that this has been implemented successfully for years. In the 2020/2021 financial year, 10% of our partners worked part-time, of which 23% were male and 77% were female. Part-time employees also have the possibility of adjusting the scope of employment to their personal needs, i.e. returning to full-time employment, for example.
