Career

Alban Çaushi is a Partner in CR Partners, an independent law firm in Albania, which in 2021 established a full cooperation with Karanovic & Partners, a regional legal practice in Southeast Europe.

He has more than 27 years of professional experience in Albania in private commercial practice, focusing his expertise on energy, infrastructure, real estate, banking, dispute resolution, employment and telecommunications.

Through his many years of practice Alban has been engaged in most prominent energy and infrastructure projects; drafting primary and secondary legislation in the renewable energy, privatization/concessions/PPP (preparation of tender documents, compliance with procurements rules, negotiation of energy contracts i.e. PPAs), financing and other large infrastructure projects.

He has also worked as team leader in various PPP and energy projects advising contracting authorities, investors and concessionaires.

Alban teaches employment law to students of the Albanian Bar Association training lawyers academy. He is a member of the Steering Board of the Albanian National Bar Association, Chairman of the National Council for Copyright and also council member of the IBA European Regional Forum.
