Netherlands > Dispute resolution: Commercial litigation

At Stek, the dispute resolution team is particularly notable for its integrated competition litigation practice, which has seen significant recent instructions in the field of follow-on damages litigation, representing both defendants and claimants in several large matters. Practice co-head Jan Bart van de Hel focuses on financial litigation and director’s or professional liability cases, and is ‘a very clever, bright, calm, litigator who stands out in court‘, according to clients. Van de Hel’s fellow co-head Gerben Smit has particular strengths in contract law and tort disputes, covering a wide range of sectors including transportation, leisure, retail, finance, and industry.
