Career

Wilhelm Bergthaler’s career has always been revolving around environment and industry. Having studied in Salzburg, he joined Haslinger / Nagele as an associate before he qualified in 1994. In 1999 he founded Haslinger / Nagele‘s office in Vienna. Wilhelm Bergthaler’ practice focuses on environmental permitting procedures in industrial and infrastructure projects. In addition, he advises clients on a broad range of regulatory matters, from product to energy to administrative liability law.

Wilhelm Bergthaler is also a University Professor at the University of Linz, where he lectures on environmental law. He is editor and author of several books and journals, and he is Co-Chair of the Environmental, Health and Safety Law Committee of the International Bar Association.
