Career

Following his graduation, Thomas Riesz worked as a university assistant at the Institute of Constitutional Law and Political Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University Linz for several years. There he became deputy head of the Department of Public Business Law. After completing his doctoral thesis in the field of medical and public health law, he was awarded a one-year service assignment at the State Administrative Court of Upper Austria. In February 2017, he joined Haslinger / Nagele as an associate and since February 2020 he is working as an attorney-at-law.

His main areas of practice are public business law, in particular data protection law, as well as administrative and constitutional law.

Thomas Riesz regularly publishes essays in renowned legal journals. Furthermore, he is the editor of various publications and frequently invited as lecturer.
