Position

Head of injury and medical claims team. One of the UK’s foremost experts on birth and child brain injury. Highly regarded among peers, Jon is regularly recommended to clients from barristers and medical professionals. An AvMA and Law Society Clinical Negligence panel member, he is also the London Regional Group Coordinator for APIL.

In the last 12 months he has secured admissions of liability in two birth injury claims, as well as recovered in excess of £5million for two amputee clients who suffered severe leg injuries in road traffic accidents. £2million was recovered in these cases in interim payments alone, ensuring both clients had access to the very best rehabilitation and treatment possible.

The team has expanded, with Katherine Lennon joining as a senior associate from Brethertons LLP in September 2017. Lennon specialises in brain injury cases and has a wealth of experience in claimant litigation. Of late, the firm has handled cases involving multi-million-pound settlements, including one with a value of £3.5m for a client who sustained catastrophic injuries in a road traffic accident, which was resolved without resorting to litigation. The case was handled by Jackie Spinks. In other work, David Marshall was successful following a 14-day High Court trial for a client who had suffered psychological injury following allegations of sexual assault while he was a prison officer.
