Career

Melinda Oerlemans has been working as an attourney at Wijn & Stael since January 2023. She specializes in employment law but also has a strong interest in corporate law. She advises and litigates in dismissal cases, reorganizations, and transfers of undertakings.

Focused on finding the best solutions 
Melinda is a driven and decisive lawyer with strong analytical skills. She quickly gets to the core of the matter and often finds creative, workable solutions. She enjoys the challenges that employment law offers: “Employment law involves constantly changing legislation, a lot of dynamism, and a great diversity of issues. This requires alertness and sharpness. I get energy from that and I like to sink my teeth into it. The more complex it gets, the more interesting I find it.”

Broadly oriented 
Before joining Wijn & Stael, Melinda worked as a (senior) judicial clerk at the Zeeland-West-Brabant District Court. There, she gained broad experience in employment law and private law. This has taught her to view cases from different perspectives and to make an integral consideration.
