Career

Stef has been working as an attorney at Wijn & Stael since 2017. His practice is focused on financing, securities & leasing, restructuring & insolvency law and corporate law. He counsels and litigates matters covering a broad spectrum of issues, including financing documentation, pledge, mortgage and lien law, bankruptcy, restructuring and directors’ liability. His clients include banks, financiers, leasing companies, directors of companies and suppliers.​

Always in Pursuit of the Best Solution
As a driven, socially engaged and creative attorney, Stef always works to deliver the best possible solutions for his clients. Sometimes that may be a settlement on which both parties can agree. Other times it may involve taking a case to court. “No two cases are the same. That’s why I take the time to learn about the interests at stake on both sides. Nothing is more motivating than knowing my solutions are helping my clients get to where they want to go. I want to provide added value at the right time.”

Working in other Countries
Stef also enjoys working abroad. He has studied in the Netherlands and England, where he conducted a comparative law study on pre-pack insolvency in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
