Erwin Rademakers is partner at AKD. He advises clients on company law restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. Erwin operates mainly in Japan, Korea and China, but he also acts for many Dutch, American and German clients. His clients are frequently involved in holding and operating companies in the Netherlands. Erwin specialises in cross-border restructuring projects and large and medium-scale mergers and acquisitions.

Erwin’s clientèle includes large, international companies with branches all over the world, such as Fortune 500, private equity and venture capital companies and state-owned enterprises. Erwin also advises numerous large and medium-sized national businesses and organisations.

Clients appreciate Erwin’s no-nonsense views, his involvement and direct approach and, above all, his clear insight during difficult negotiations.

Erwin led AKD’s successful Benelux strategy with which the firm made a transition from being a purely Dutch firm to a full-service organisation that is the gateway from, to and in the Benelux. This strategy has turned out to be extremely successful in terms of both turnover and reputation in the market.

Erwin was a member of AKD’s executive board from 2006 to 2010, and managing partner from 2014 to 2023. He is and was a board member of various organisations and institutions, including Dujat, the Dutch Japanese Trade Federation.
