Position

Eleni is managing partner of the firm and is active in the areas of commercial, corporate and civil law.

Career

Eleni has extensive experience in M&As, antitrust, unfair competition, distribution, corporate/corporate restructuring, private equity, privatisations, industrial property and litigation. Eleni has successfully handled major complex and diverse transactions as well as large-scale litigation, including litigation before the Greek Supreme Court and the European Court of Justice. Eleni’s long standing relationship with clients has enabled her to acquire a valuable insight which, combined with her solid academic background and her experience at both advisory and litigation level, place her in an ideal position to understand and identify the issues at stake, be proactive and advise on the most efficient strategy to be followed. 

She is author of books and articles in the areas of competition, EU and commercial law and she has been teaching M&A and antitrust at the Athens Laboratory of Business Administration (ALBA), a highly respected professional school in Athens.

In addition to occasionally serving as member of clients’ Boards of Directors, between 2004 and 2015 Eleni has been independent member of the Board of Directors and member of the audit and HR committees of S&B, an industrial minerals company then listed on the Athens Stock Exchange. She is member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP).

Eleni has been president of the Harvard Club of Greece for 15 years (1996–2011). In 2012 she was member of the expert committee of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED). Since 2008 she has been member of the investment committee of Alpha Taneo, a Venture Capital Fund managed by Alpha Ventures, a subsidiary of Alpha Bank.

  • Admitted to the Athens Bar in 1982. Qualified to practice before Courts of all instances, including the Supreme Courts.

Education

Eleni holds a first class honours from the London School of Economics, ranking top in her class, a Master’s Degree from Harvard Law School and a Doctorate (Grande Distinction) from Université Libre de Bruxelles.
