Thomas Skjellerup now single-handedly leads Bruun & Hjejle‘s banking and finance practice following former co-head Jakob Echwald Sevel’s departure to Poul Schmith. The team is noted for its ‘knowledge of cross-border transactions’ and (alongside experience acting for banks and financial institutions in disputes) is particularly active in transactional work, chiefly for pension funds, private equity funds, public entities and institutional and industrial investors. The group primarily assists its client roster with acquisition financing, project financing and structured financing work, bond issuances, and asset financing matters, with additional expertise in regulatory issues. Skjellerup and newly promoted partner Christian Sahlertz are ‘both highly skilled with a great sense of business’. Associate partner Morten Schultz joined the team in mid-2021.
