Career

Jean-François Adelle is involved in general and structured financing, debt restructuring and financial engineering operations with a strong regulatory component. He has a proven track record in asset-based financing, deconsolidation financing, risk transfer structures, energy transition project financing, leveraged acquisition financing and fund financing, in both loan and bond formats. He has experience of operations linked to credit disintermediation, involving complex financial instruments, derivatives, digital assets, trusts and cash pooling.

In addition, he handles financial disputes and litigation, particularly distressed transactions, and has experience of a number of large-scale projects.

A major part of his activity has an international component.

His clients – banks and other financial institutions, funds and large corporates – recognize the technical expertise and strategic acumen of this professional with over 35 years’ experience.

Jean-François is a member of P.R.I.M.E Finance’s panel of experts, Co-Chair of the International Bar Association’s Banking Law Committee, and heads the firm’s Legal Opinions Committee. He has chaired the work of Paris Europlace, which inspired legislative reforms in the fields of trusts, sureties and security agents, and co-chaired the International Financing Work Stream of the ICC Task Force on Financial Institutions and International Arbitration. He is the author of numerous publications and a frequent speaker at financial and banking conferences.
