Overview

Justin was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in November 2013. He subsequently joined a local law firm in January 2014 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Gibraltar as a barrister on 5 March 2014. Justin joined ISOLAS LLP as a Senior Associate in January 2023.

Justin began his practice primarily as a criminal and general civil litigator, where he appeared frequently before Gibraltar’s Magistrates’ Court, Supreme Court, Mental Health Review Tribunal and statutory bodies. As his practice grew, Justin honed and specialised his skill-set and became the lead family law practitioner at his previous firm, developing a reputation as one of the principal family lawyers in the jurisdiction.

Justin has delivered the Family Law module at the University of Gibraltar, as part of their Professional Certificate of Competence in Gibraltar Law, between 2020 and 2023.

Justin now works closely alongside the Honourable Neil Costa in the practice areas of human rights law and public law, namely constitutional and administrative cases, and employment law, in particular in matters relating to non-discrimination, protected disclosures, and equal opportunities. Neil and Justin also specialise in common law, general commercial, and civil and criminal litigation.

Justin is listed in the Legal Aid and Duty Solicitor Panels in Gibraltar and represents clients who are arrested and/or charged by law enforcement officers.

 

Family

Justin advises and has represented clients in all manner of family law and related matters, including but not limited to divorces and separations; financial agreements; private law residence and contact disputes involving children; public law care proceedings involving children; adoptions and applications for special guardianship orders; cross jurisdictional child-related disputes, including the unlawful removal and/or retention of children and applications pursuant to the Hague Convention of 1996.
