Career

Bena Mara, Counsel, heads the firm’s Financial Services and Insurance Regulation practice.

She advises French and international groups operating in the financial services and insurance sectors on the regulatory aspects of their activities, including regarding authorisations and licences, fit and proper assessments of management body members, internal governance, prudential requirements, remuneration, resolution plans, as well as their cross-border activities.

Bena also regularly assists clients on the regulatory aspects of public and private M&A transactions involving these sectors (notably in respect of structuring and regulatory approval procedures).

In addition, Bena has gained expert knowledge of issues arising in matters involving Fintech companies and blockchain technology.

She has authored several publications about financial services regulation and Fintech companies.
