Yannis has over 35 years of experience in advising on pharmaceutical products, medical devices, food and beverages and intellectual property law.

He joined the Firm in 1983 and advises some of the largest manufacturers and distributors in Greece on parallel trade issues, clinical trial procedures, labelling and packaging and the market regulation of food and beverages. Yannis has extensive experience in advising on the protection and enforceability of intellectual and industrial property rights including copyright, licenses, trademarks and brands. From 1982 to 2015 he served as Legal Counsel to the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE), cooperating directly with the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).

Yannis lectures at national and international conferences on a wide range of issues which arise in his area of practice, including experiences after the transposition of EU pharmaceutical law to Greek legislation.

Career

Yannis is admitted to the Athens Bar (1972) and the Supreme Court of Greece (1988).

Education

Yannis holds a Degree in Law from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Diplôme from the Faculty for Comparative Law of the University of Strasbourg.
