Teresa is a senior counsel in the Tax practice who has almost 15 years’ professional experience in the are of tax, where she has a particular focus on corporate income taxation. Teresa has also handled corporate reorganisations, tax optimisation, domestic and international taxation, tax litigation, and mergers and acquisitions. transactions.

She has extensive experience in providing tax advice to Portuguese and multinational groups operating in distinct sectors including construction, industry, commerce, and services.

Teresa has a degree in law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto, a master’s in tax law from Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and she completed a postgraduate course in tax law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra.

Before joining PLMJ, Teresa was tax senior manager at KPMG Portugal, a tax correspondent for Portugal at the IBFD – International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (the Netherlands), and a consultant at Deloitte (Luxembourg).
