Net Zero: what to expect from your investors and lenders

Overview

Nearly two-thirds of FTSE100 listed companies and more than one fifth of large companies globally have now set Net Zero targets.

Delivering on these targets is not only critical to keeping the ambitions of the Paris Agreement alive, but with the rise of ESG investing over recent years, access to capital for corporates may increasingly become subject to performance against Net Zero commitments and ESG goals.

As corporate transition plans are increasingly demanded by lenders and investors, how important is it that those plans are credible and deliverable, companies meet their targets and what are the implications for failure to do so? Are there different approaches being taken by institutional investors, private equity investors and lenders?

To explore these issues and the implications for GCs our experts at this webinar will include:

  • Michael Watson, head of climate and sustainability advisory, Pinsent Masons
  • Richard Manley, managing director, head of sustainable investing, CPPI (equity markets)
  • Alison Collins, head of ESG, Pollen Street Capital
  • Stephen Jennings, managing director, head of energy & natural resources,
    MUFG
