The Legal 500 Brazil Awards 2023

Latin America’s largest legal market has gone through a raft of changes over the past few years, with government sale of public assets and state-owned enterprises, a global focus on renewables, climate change and environmental issues that affect Brazil directly, and a 10-year M&A peak are just a few socio-economic headlines. Brazil’s law firms have thrived, including growing interest from international players, and the rise of quality boutique offerings. The Legal 500 is delighted to recognise the leading legal players from private practice and in-house who have contributed to the Brazilian and global market.

These awards are determined based on The Legal 500’s market-leading independent research for the annual directory. Winners are selected by a judging team spearheaded by The Legal 500 Latin America editor Tim Girven, Brazil deputy editor Daniela Costa, head of in-house research Joe Boswell, The Legal 500 Publishing Director David Burgess, and over 20 in-house and freelance researchers with in-depth knowledge of their practice areas, the same who are responsible for the annual production of the authoritative The Legal 500 guide, using the same evidence base. Some practice areas have stand-alone awards and others are thematic groupings of directory practice areas.
