Mariano Luchetti leads the Firm’s General Corporate and M&A Department and is also a member of the Energy Department of the Firm.

Dr. Mariano Luchetti has developed his entire career at our Firm and he is a member of its Board of Directors.

Mr. Luchetti’s practice focuses in mergers, acquisitions and divestures involving both public and private companies, with special attention to the electricity industry in Argentina.

He participated in the structuring and completion of several complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, venture capital investments, project financings, joint ventures, corporate finance and debt-to-equity transactions, and strategic alliances in different countries, such as Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine, USA, Uruguay and Venezuela.

He has specialized in advising the most important players in the electricity generation, transport and distribution sector in Argentina, and more recently, the natural gas transport and distribution sectors.

Mr. Luchetti received a law degree from the Law School of Universidad Católica Argentina in 1996 and was a foreign associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & Mc Cloy, New York, during 2001-2002.

The ‘extremely kind and respectfulBruchou & Funes de Rioja electricity practice supports clients in the renewable and conventional power sectors with multidisciplinary advice covering regulation, project finance, corporate, M&A, tax and environmental matters. The team has been particularly active in public tenders for greenfield renewable energy projects, advising on bids, PPA negotiations, and financing. Mariano Luchetti advises major players involved in the generation, transportation, and distribution of electricity in Argentina, and co-leads the practice with the ‘outstandingIgnacio Minorini Lima, an experienced energy, public and regulatory law practitioner who also handles domestic and international arbitration proceedings. The practice can also call on the experience of corporate partner Exequiel Buenaventura, who advises a number of power sector clients. At associate level, seniors Nicolás Dulce (oil, gas and electricity) and María Laura Rozan (regulated industries; power generation, transportation and distribution) are the main contacts. Associate Dolores Cedrone moved in house at Citco Group in February 2023. Since publication, Dulce has been raised to the partnership – effective as of March 2024.

Veteran transactional lawyer Mariano Luchetti, who also has a notable energy practice, co-leads the department alongside respected oil-and-gas specialist Javier Galli and María Winschel, who focuses on corporate law and governance matters.
