Career

Santiago Balbi is a partner of General Corporate and M&A department. He was a foreign associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP (Nueva York), during 2018-2019.

He specializes in corporate law with particular expertise in general corporate advice, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and venture capital, advising companies from different sectors of the economy as technology, financial, energy, among others. He has also participated in various complex negotiations related to acquisitions, joint-ventures and strategic alliances, start-ups, rounds of funding and new business. start-ups, rounds of funding and new business.

Prior to joining the Firm, he was an associate member of Brons & Salas law firm (and of its spin-off Zaballa-Carcio Abogados) and Salaverri, Dellatorre, Burgio & Wetzler Malbran. Previously, he was member of the National Judicial Branch (Fuero Comercial del Poder Judicial de la Nación).

Santiago obtained a law degree from Universidad Católica Argentina, Law School in 2008. In 2009 he completed a postgraduate degree in Business Legal Advice at Universidad Católica Argentina.
