Career

With over 18 years of legal experience, Maria Carolina started her career in the litigation area in 1999 in a large law firm, working in the civil and business areas. General Counsel and Compliance Officer at insurance company Generali Seguros S.A. from 2012 to 2016, she was responsible for legal advice on insurance and reinsurance strategic operations, management of civil and administrative litigation of the company, and development and management of all contracts. She was also responsible for the corporate governance of the company, including all corporate matters, the relationship of the company with the local regulator (Susep), and for implementing controls for identification, monitoring and reporting of possible laundering offenses to the competent authorities.

Education

Graduated in Law from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Maria Carolina holds a postgraduate degree in Private Equity from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ).
