Partner Björn Winström is Head of Roschier’s Energy & Infrastructure practice in Sweden. He specializes in private M&A, private equity and energy & infrastructure.

Björn regularly advises international private equity firms and large corporations on transactions. He has acted for several private equity sponsors in buy-outs, exits and restructurings, as well as large corporates in general M&A and corporate matters.

Roschier’s leading M&A practice focuses on large and mid cap cross-border transactions involving major domestic and international companies. Malin Leffler – experienced in handling significant matters for household names in the media and retail sectors, to name a few – heads the private M&A team, within which private equity specialist Jens Bengtsson and Björn Winström play key roles. Roschier’s energy practice has a strong reputation for advising on a wide range of transactions in the space, including those concerning renewables projects, electricity grids and district heating networks, as well as acting in major international energy arbitration proceedings. The multidisciplinary team has also recently gained experience in the emerging bio-energy capture and storage market and hydropower asset power purchase agreements. Björn Winström, who has considerable experience handling M&A matters for major clients operating in the energy sector, leads the department. Disputes specialist Johan Sidklev boasts notable expertise in energy-related contentious matters, including natural gas, oil and electricity investment arbitration proceedings brought by private investors and governments under the Energy Charter Treaty.
