Mannheimer Swartling’s client base includes real estate companies, property developers, municipalities and county councils. Tomas Johansson advised Ikea Centres on the €900m sale of a portfolio of 25 shopping centres in eight countries to Pradera. Practice head Jesper Prytz and Klas Wennström are other names to note.

Advokatfirman Vinge features prominently in some of the largest transactions in the Swedish market. It also handles commercial leasing and property development matters. Olof Jisland acted for Adapta in the sale of a 50% stake in the KongahÀlla shopping centre to Alecta. Badur jointly heads the practice with Anders Forkman.

Wistrand’s team, which is led by Tommy Grönberg and Per Dalemo, has a strong profile in real estate transactions involving warehouses, shopping centres, hotels and offices. In 2017, Fredrik RĂ„sberg and others acted for SBB in its SEK4.5bn acquisition of DNB’s headquarters in Oslo. Jan Alexanderson, recently promoted partner Peter Sandberg and Lennart Ernstson are other key figures.

Advokatfirman Delphi’s national team includes Anders HulegĂ„rdh in Gothenburg, while Erica Nobel and Jonas MĂ„nsson are names to note in Malmö. Stefan Lindh and Göran Karlsson are located in Linköping. Stockholm-based practice head Nina Persson acted for Amasten in its acquisitions of property portfolios.

Jan Litborn’s team at Advokatfirman Glimstedt undertakes large-scale, high-end real estate transactions. Erik Borgblad acted for Solnaberg Property in the founding of the company and in its acquisition of Solna Bladet 3. Andreas Höhling, Litborn and Borgblad advised Diös Fastigheter on real estate investments in UmeĂ„ and Sundsvall, having previously assisted the client with a SEK4.5bn property portfolio acquisition.

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton has an excellent reputation among funds clients and property companies; clients include CBRE Global Investors, Hemfosa Fastigheter and EQT Real Estate Fund. Johan Gustavsson acted for Credit Suisse Asset Management in the sale of a special purpose vehicle (holding a prime office building in Solna) to LÀnsförsÀkringar. Fredrik Ahlqvist is recommended.

Advokatfirman Lindahl KB’s Mikael Stabo advised SHH Bostad on forming a joint venture with Fastighets AB Bodal and Bantorget Utveckling to acquire and develop circa 1,200 apartments in Stockholm. Practice head Johan Tollgerdt and Andreas Lindh were among the advisers to Castellum Öresund on the sale of a property portfolio to Klövern Lovisa. The team’s workload also includes real estate finance transactions and lease matters.

Linklaters excels in assisting international real estate investors with strategic transactions in the Swedish market. Magnus Lidman advised CBRE Global Investors’ Pan European Core Fund on the acquisition of the Stockholm Tobaksmonopolet 2 office building from Aberdeen Property Funds Pan-Nordic. Other clients include Nordic property companies, Nordic funds and Swedish municipalities. Anna Eriksson is recommended.

Roschier’s group is led by Marcus HedĂ©n. Lisa Granbom Koski assists clients with various matters, such as prestigious development projects, portfolio transactions, joint ventures and real estate finance. Recent highlights include acting for Bonava in the development and sale of a SEK986m property portfolio to Willhem, and advising Niam Fund V on the SEK2.2bn sale of Blekholmen 1 to M&G Real Estate.

Setterwalls’ work includes site acquisitions and development projects; clients in this space include NCC, Skandia Fastigheter, Skanska and Strabag. Anders Linnerborg, Linda Jönsjö and others recently advised Riksbyggeb on its acquisition of the land registered as Abborren 2 from Malmö Stenhus for the purpose of transforming it into a promenade. Anders Heintze, Lennart Iwar and Jessica Schönning lead teams in Gothenburg, Malmö and Stockholm respectively.

At AG Advokat, practice head Johan Lindberg, Johan Gadd, who was a recent hire from Falkenborn AdvokatbyrÄ, Rickard Zamuhl, Niclas Lifsten and HÄkan Bjerle each have more than 20 years of real estate experience. The team recently assisted AMF Fastigheter with lease agreements connected with the Urban Escape project in central Stockholm. Zamuhl advises ICA Fastigheter on transactions, lease law and other general real estate matters.

Advokatfirman Cederquist KB’s team handles real estate transactions (including portfolio transactions and investments in development projects) for Swedish and international investors. Louise BjĂ€rgĂ„rd recently advised Folksam on its acquisition of Duvan 6 in central Stockholm. Practice head Erika Åslund assisted Fastighets AB Regio with its acquisition of the Sigma shopping centre in VĂ€sterĂ„s from Barings.

DLA Piper handles real estate acquisitions and disposals, project development and leasing, and real estate disputes. Practice head Gustaf Ström is advising Johansson & KÄrell on two transactions, including the SEK550m divestment of an office and retail portfolio in Stockholm. Mats Eriksson, who rejoined the firm from Fortum, is experienced in energy-related real estate matters. Jan RÄssjö, Anders Malmström and Johan Forsling are other key figures. Senior associate Kristina Stavne joined from the city of Stockholm.

Eversheds AdvokatbyrĂ„ AB (a member of Eversheds Sutherland) added Ludvig Blomqvist to its team, as a result of the firm’s merger with Northlaw Advisors in January 2017. Practice head Tord Svensson acted for Norwegian investment manager Scandinavian Property Group in the circa SEK400m sale of two real estate projects (structured as a forward funding transaction) to a Swedish pension fund.

Hamilton AdvokatbyrĒs Nicklas Hansen recently acted for Lidl Sverige in several strategic property acquisitions in Sweden, and has also been advising JÀrfÀllahus on residential development projects in JÀrfÀlla municipality. Maria Boudrie has more than 15 years of real estate experience. Charles Andersson is also recommended.

Hannes Snellman’s team worked with the Helsinki office to advise Barings Real Estate Advisers Europe on the disposal of its shares in the joint venture company owning Kamppi Shopping Centre in Finland. In the domestic market, the team acted for Citycon and Red in the SEK235m sale of retail property LĂ€nken 1 to Regio. In addition to retail, the group is also active in the hotels and infrastructure sectors. Safa Mahmoudi joined Advokatfirman Törngren Magnell in January 2018.

MAQS AdvokatbyrÄ’s Patric Olofsson was the lead adviser to Index Residence on a large development project in NorrtĂ€lje Hamn. In another matter, Olofsson and others advised LĂ€nsförsĂ€kringar on the acquisition of its headquarters in Solna. Olofsson jointly heads the practice with Jessica Svantesson and Jonas Blomquist.

Real AdvokatbyrĂ„ Aktiebolag is particularly active in real estate transactions and commercial leasing matters. Mikael Laag advised NREP Logistics Property Fund on its €1.1bn portfolio acquisition of 49 logistics properties. Daniel Jönsson assisted Barings with the divestment of Sigma shopping centre in VĂ€sterĂ„s. Patrik Lilieblad is also recommended.

Wigge & Partners’ Patrick Forslund acted for Willhem in its €287m acquisition of a portfolio of 31 properties (consisting of 1763 residential apartments) from Akelius. Eurocommercial Properties, Hemfosa Fastigheter and Magnolia Bostad are other notable clients. Recently promoted partner Daniel Unger and Stefan de Hevesy are other practitioners in the team, which also advises clients on commercial leases, property development projects and real estate finance.

Tobias Edenman leads Baker & McKenzie AdvokatbyrĂ„ KB’s real estate department, which is handling franchise and lease matters, as well as development projects for the Rezidor Hotel Group. The team also acted for Crown Energy in the SEK900m acquisition of a property portfolio in Angola. Anders Fast is another name to note.

Bird & Bird has won numerous mandates since hiring Nimrod Badur as its practice head from Hannes Snellman in February 2016. Badur and associate Tanja Tuominen have assisted Svenska Handelsfastigheter with a number of retail property purchases, including its acquisition of a retail property in Skövde from Axa. The team also advised Ramirent on its involvement in the Sergelhuset project in Stockholm’s central business district.

Foyen Advokatfirma’s practice covers property acquisitions and divestments, real estate development projects and lease matters. Henrik StĂ„hlberg acted for SlussgĂ„rden in the acquisition of SnĂ€cken 8 for the purpose of it being redeveloped into a new office building. StĂ„hlberg is also advising the Municipality of Stockholm on a residential development project in the SlakthusomrĂ„det.

Felix Ljunggren heads up Ramberg Advokater’s practice, which attracts work from Swedish and international real estate companies, developers and municipalities. Magdalena Schmidt’s expertise includes real estate M&A, commercial landlord and tenant matters, and dispute resolution. Sandra BrĂ„nstad is another active practitioner.
