Career

Luís Fraústo Varona is a Professional Partner and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2007, focusing on commercial and civil litigation, arbitration and mediation, insolvency and corporate restructuring.

He has experience in litigation in the areas of civil construction and public works, logistics and transport, chemical industry, large national and international food and beverage distributors, healthcare services provision, sports, and other areas where disputes may result in litigation.

He has also been involved with international litigations, providing advice by networking with lawyers participating in the Abreu International Legal Solutions service in the countries concerned.

Additionally, he has experience in advising national and international companies in different sectors on contracting or subcontracting phases, with a view to preventing and/or anticipating litigation in the event of defective compliance or non-compliance, by means of warranty clauses, or jurisdiction or arbitration agreements.

He has played a key role in advising on pre-litiginous and litiginous matters, and in negotiations leading to the conclusion of agreements.
