Survey Results - Trainee feedback on New Square Chambers

The lowdown - Pupils (in their own words) on New Square Chambers

We sent The Legal 500 Future Lawyers Pupil and Junior Barrister survey to pupils and juniors up to two years in tenancy at New Square Chambers. Here is what they had to say:

Why did you choose these chambers over any others?

‘Progressive and diverse, incredibly intelligent yet still approachable barristers’

How does your training compare with what you hear from pupils/juniors at other chambers?

‘Due to chambers taking on only one pupil per cycle, the training is incredible and I feel very supported and that I have learnt a great deal within my short time here’

Best thing about chambers?

‘Diversity (especially relative to the rest of the Chancery Bar!)’

Worst thing about chambers?

‘Honestly really struggling with this question. Does lack of central heating due to being in a grade 1 listed building count? Can’t think of anything else!’

Best moment to date?

‘Having attended all levels of court, from county court all the way up to the Supreme Court!’

Worst moment to date?

‘Honestly, nothing (so far)’

CSR/Pro bono?

‘Very good, although I do not feel I am able yet to contribute as I am currently focusing on acquiring tenancy’
