Position

Rayan specialises in property litigation with a particular focus on leasehold disputes and claims pursuant to the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 involving resulting/constructive trusts. Rayan has experience in the Upper Tribunal and regularly appears in the First-Tier Tribunal and the County Court in the full range of landlord and tenant matters.

Career

Rayan is also experienced in commercial litigation and is regularly instructed to represent in matters pertaining to contract disputes. Her clients range from individuals to large governmental bodies and she has previously been instructed by the Federal Inland Revenue Service of Nigeria (FIRS) in an application to discharge an interim Third Party Debt Order (iTPDO) relating to an arbitration award of approximately £14 million (Rayan was led by David Quest QC).
