Toby Davey’s areas of expertise include all aspects of planning and environmental law, administrative and local government law.

Toby undertakes planning inquiry work for both local authorities and developers and has appeared at appeals throughout the country relating to housing, retail, listed buildings, waste disposal and conservation areas. Regeneration projects include, Central Leicester, Refinery Site at Neath, Gateshead and Sunderland, the Midlands, the airports.

He has extensive experience in promoting structure and local plan inquiries; examples include East Hampshire, Dacorum and South Bucks. He also appears at waste and minerals local plans; recent examples include Northamptonshire, Hambledon, South Shields, Gateshead and Wearside and public.

Appearances for promoters and opponents at several of the major highways inquiries including, Archway Road A1 Traffic Regulation Scheme, Southampton M3/M27 CPO, Liverpool Airport Motorway Links to M56/M62, Terminal 5, M4/M25 proposals. By Pass Schemes include West Haddon, Corby, Winchester M3, Newbury A34 and Guildford A3.

Toby regularly advises on compensation and valuation matters and has appeared in the Lands Tribunal for both local authorities and land owners.
