Career

Beatrice is an Associate in the TMT Dispute Resolution team based in Brighton and London. She supports head of department, Tim Ashdown, and Senior Partner, Robert Ganpatsingh, on a variety of corporate and commercial disputes. She specialises in intellectual property and technology related disputes including advice on trademarks, design rights, misuse of confidential information, copyright and database rights.

The law is not Beatrice’s first career and she is familiar with copyright and royalty distribution from over 10 years’ experience in the music industry as an international touring and recording artist on the bass guitar.

Beatrice regularly assists on claims issued at the High Court, including the Queen’s Bench Division, Chancery Division and Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, and is familiar with the associated court procedures and rules.

Preparing witness statements, interim applications and large volume of disclosure documents for a high profile technology company in a major dispute at the Chancery Division

Drafted settlement agreements in shareholder disputes

Assisted in the Defendent’s legal team in European Real Estate Debt Fund (Cayman) Limited v Anoup Treon and others, a high value High Court claim regarding financial investments in the care sector

Acted as part of the claimant team in a complex international arbitration at the LCIA

Prepared claim documentation and an application to obtain permission to serve proceedings outside jurisdiction for an international catering business in a franchise dispute at the Chancery Division

Prepared witness evidence and Court documents for an application for delivery up and interim injunction at the Queen’s Bench Division
