Position

Peter is developing a broad commercial practice in line with chambers’ areas of work, including commercial dispute resolution, professional liability, and insurance law. Peter also has experience of and an interest in public and human rights law. Peter’s recent and current instructions include: sole junior to Tim Chelmick in an ICC arbitration worth in excess of $80 million, representing an employer in a dispute over the construction of a power station; part of a counsel team in a multi-million pound public procurement arbitration, led by Roger Stewart QC and Anneliese Day QC; acting for an insurer in an aggregation dispute arising out of a failed investment scheme, led by Ben Hubble QC; working as part of a team at a top city law firm on a major auditor’s negligence claim with a stated value of over £50 million; sole counsel successfully striking out a civil claim against a member of parliament arising out of the discharge of her official duties; sole counsel in the High Court, resisting an application for an interim injunction in Continental Car Hire Ltd v Collingwood Insurance Company Ltd (Companies Court).

Career

Called 2012; Inner Temple. Tutor and examiner in tort Kings College, London 2011-12; served as a caseworker at the AIRE Centre, producing advice for individuals on their EU and ECHR rights.
