Andrew’s work covers a wide range of areas within the life sciences sector including antimicrobial formulations, haemostatic and wound healing agents, tissue regeneration, pharmaceuticals, and disease diagnosis. He has also undertaken work on medical devices such as wound dressings, oxygen delivery apparatus and orthotics.

Although Andrew’s main focus is within the life sciences sector, he benefits from experience in other areas, such as building materials and compositions, heating systems and consumer goods.

Career

Andrew joined Reddie & Grose in 2007 and qualified with the firm. He has commercial research and development experience having previously worked at Unilever where he assisted in the development of innovative formulations for some well-known brands.

Andrew has experience of drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications in the UK, Europe and around the world; and with opposition and appeal proceedings at the European Patent Office. He has also advised on freedom to operate, patentability, due diligence, inventorship and assignment matters.

Andrew acts for a wide range of clients including start-up companies, multinational companies, academic institutions and charities.
