Zachary’s day-to-day practice focuses on the drafting and prosecution of electronic and computer-implemented inventions.

Since joining Elkington + Fife in September 2014, Zachary has also attained considerable experience in full-service portfolio management, working closely with a number of clients to identify and pursue appropriate protection for their business interests. He particularly enjoys reviewing invention disclosures to identify potential routes for attaining IP protection for new concepts.

Zachary qualified as a UK and European Patent Attorney in 2018. He achieved the highest total mark of any candidate taking the European examinations in the world that year.

During his university studies, Zachary led an award-winning project researching silica, and was also awarded the Zepler and IET prizes for outstanding academic performance, achieving the highest average mark in the final year.
