Consultant Solicitor/ Prison Law Supervisor.
Louisa was called to the Bar of England and Wales by The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 2007. She has been in continuous practice as a solicitor since successfully completing the QLTT in 2011, having begun her cross-qualification in 2009.
Louisa’s practice is now predominantly prison law though she continues to undertake a wide variety of criminal matters. Louisa is the prison law supervisor and has a wealth of experience in all manner of proceedings before the prison service, the parole board and the High Court.
She appears before Independent adjudicators and parole boards on a regular basis, all over England securing outstanding results for her clients. She is renowned for her meticulous and tenacious representation and regularly achieves results beyond all expectations.
Her current and recent cases include the following:
Parole Board v Terence Adams – successfully acted on behalf of the alleged head of a notorious London crime family in widely-reported recall proceedings which included an application for habeus corpus;
Parole Board v W.L.- acted on behalf of a prisoner, convicted of brutally murdering a prostitute, in proceedings before the parole board securing his transfer to open conditions two years prior to tariff expiration;
Parole Board v A. T – successfully acted on behalf of a prisoner, convicted of multiple sex offences, detained in Broadmoor hospital. The case involved complex expert medical evidence; Parole Board v S.A.- Successfully represented a prisoner convicted of a gang-related murder and subsequently recalled for further offences.
