The firm has been involved in a number of recent banking sector recapitalistation measures. Reindorf Chambers advised Amalgamated Bank Ltd (now Bank of Africa Ghana Ltd) in the acquisition by Bank of Africa of a 75% stake in it. It advised CAL Bank Limited, a publicly listed company in its raising of GH$75m by the issue of shares to African Development Partners I, Proparco and the Social Security and National Insurance Trust and recently advised Republic Bank of Trinidad and Tobago in its acquisition of shares in HFC Bank Ghana Ltd’s private placement.

Areas of practice: Fui Tsikata, who heads the firm, has over thirty years’ experience in energy, mining and natural resources law and policy. He has made inputs into policy reviews by the governments of Ghana, Liberia and Angola of their mining law regimes and has participated in major negotiations in Ghana involving mineral and energy projects.

In respect of employment and labour, the firm has negotiated collective bargaining agreements with trade unions, negotiated and drafted employee and consultancy contracts and advised on human resource issues.

Reindorf Chambers provides legal services relating to real estate and administration of estates including drafting leases, conveyances and wills, constructing investigations into title to land, and taking probate and letters of administration on behalf of clients. The firm has advised clients on land ownership, landlord and tenant matters and, in relation to foreign clients, constitutional provisions regarding the ownership of land by foreigners.

The firm conducts litigation and dispute resolution on behalf of its clients. Recently, the firm has advised and provided legal support to the government of Ghana on a number of high-profile matters.
