Marisa Coggin is a partner in the Corporate and Insurance groups at Dentons. Marisa’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on corporate and regulatory insurance. Marisa also offers experience in, and regularly assists clients with corporate reorganizations, mergers & acquisitions and financing.
Marisa advises clients in the insurance, banking, and financial sectors. She has experience establishing branches for foreign insurance companies, incorporating and licensing insurance brokerages and managing general agents, and establishing captive insurers. Marisa regularly advises on regulatory compliance management, reinsurance and market conduct matters and has acted as a chief compliance officer for a foreign insurance company. In addition, she has particular experience advising warranty providers and assisting clients with structuring warranty programs.
Marisa’s in-depth knowledge of the insurance sector and emerging industry trends enables her to provide clients with sound advice on a variety of insurance-related matters. She is skilled in identifying the best course of action for her client and finding options that increase flexibility while mitigating risk.
