Career

Aliya Seitova is a senior associate, as well as Kazakhstan Trademark and Patent Attorney.  In 2022, she became one of a few Eurasian Patent Attorneys located in Kazakhstan, which allows her to register inventions and industrial designs at the regional level in the Eurasian Economic Union.

With almost 15 years of professional experience, she focuses on intellectual property law, with a particular emphasis on trademark and patent filing and prosecution matters, trademark and patent infringement matters and related issues such as unfair competition, customs recordal, renewal services, due diligence of intellectual property rights.

She has experience in representing clients before the local Trademark and Patent Office (Qazpatent) and courts, and actively works on assignment, licensing, and franchising of companies’ exclusive rights.

Aliya also has experience on data protection cases, advertising, as well as mass media regulation (including registration of foreign TV channels in Kazakhstan).
