Career

I started practising family law in Milan when I was a law degree student.  After moving to London, I started working in the family department of Payne Hicks Beach, where I stayed for 20 years (originally as a paralegal, then as a Registered European Lawyer, then as a solicitor, then became a consultant). I am a dual qualified English solicitor and Italian avvocato.

The majority of my cases have always had an international element and I focus in particular on conflicts of law and conflicts of jurisdictions.  Being bilingual (Italian/English) and speaking French and Spanish have enabled me to work on foreign cases and to get to know international family lawyers.

I deal with all aspects of family law: private children law matters, international abduction, relocation, divorce, separation, financial matters, nuptial agreements, jurisdictional issues and cohabitation.

From 2016, I have been invited to speak at conferences in Italy, Spain, England and Romania on both English and Italian law and have written articles on family law for the IFLJ and for other European specialised family law journals.
