Career
Andres Martínez is an associate in the Firm’s infrastructure and PPP team. He is a lawyer specialized in Contract Law and Administrative Law. He has a Master’s Degree in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. He joined the Firm in 2021 and has extensive experience in contract law, public procurement, infrastructure and public-private partnerships. Andrés has worked advising and accompanying national and international companies in the infrastructure sectors.
Andres is experienced in consulting, negotiating and drafting contracts in diverse matters for both domestic and cross border transactions. Focused on infrastructure projects, including origination and structuring, contractual management and execution, due diligence, financing and collateral/securities agreements. Advised the National Agency of Infrastructure (ANI) in the structuring of the fourth generation (4G) road concessions contracts under PPP and its bidding processes. Advised in merger and acquisition deals for prominent Colombian companies, including due diligence and acquisitions of 4G roads and airports concessions’ SPVs. Experienced in drafting memorandums and legal opinions in its related matters. Assisted in a regulatory, contractual and corporate advisory role for Colombian and international companies in the health, energy and telecommunication sectors.
Knowledgeable in foreign exchange investments, horizontal property regulation, criminal procedure and consumer law.
