Career

Camila is the Firm’s Commercial Law Director. She has more than 12 years of experience, and has been with the Firm since 2018. Camila obtained her Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where she was awarded the Gabriel Giraldo S.J. distinction. Camila obtained her LLM degree in International Law from Stetson University College of Law in Florida, where she graduated with High Honors.

Camila has extensive knowledge in contracts, commercial law, compliance, among other areas, with over 6 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

In contract and commercial law, she has participated in important projects in the midstream, advising on the structuring of EPC and EPCM contracts, among others and has worked in the structuring, drafting and negotiation of complex sales agreement for the renewal of the Transmilenio and SITP fleets. Camila also advises multinational companies adjusting their agreements for their operations in Colombia, provides legal advice on companies’ day- to- day contractual and commercial issues, and specializes in advising companies in the review and analysis of their distribution agreements and/or distribution or commercial agency relationships, as well as in drafting and terminating distribution agreements.

Camila also has working experience in compliance anticorruption and anti-money laundering programs, benefiting from her experience in the Oil&Gas industry where she worked in the design and implementation of policies, procedures, risk assessments, training of employees and key contractors, as well as conducting investigations.
