Gabriel Gross

Gabriel Gross

Gabe Gross is a veteran first-chair trial lawyer and skilled courtroom advocate who represents leading life sciences and technology companies in their most important intellectual property and commercial disputes. A partner in the Bay Area offices and co-chair of Latham’s national Trial Advocacy training program, Gabe has won jury verdicts, summary judgments, arbitration awards, and appeals, defeating billions of dollars in patent infringement and licensing claims on behalf of his clients. Gabe’s litigation practice focuses on intellectual property and other complex commercial disputes. He is deeply experienced in patent, trade secret, licensing, trademark, copyright, false advertising, and unfair competition disputes. With a background in biotechnology, Gabe serves as lead trial counsel for innovative clients across the life sciences, medical device, high-tech, and consumer products industries. He has represented clients in federal and state courts across the country, including in California, New York, Texas, Delaware, New Jersey, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, before the US International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and US Customs and Border Protection, as well as in arbitrations domestically and abroad. Gabe has tried cases to juries over patent infringement, copyright infringement, and contract disputes. He has tried cases to arbitrators over intellectual property licensing and other commercial disputes. Gabe also is a registered patent attorney with experience in inter partes review and other patent office proceedings. Gabe’s pro bono practice includes representing clients in immigration and asylum matters, inmate civil rights cases, veterans’ benefits disputes, and unlawful detainer actions. Gabe enjoys giving back to the community and for years has coached his local high school’s mock trial team and volunteered as a mock trial coach, judge, and Deposition Course instructor at Berkeley Law. Jeff Homrig

Jeff Homrig is a seasoned first-chair trial lawyer who handles high-stakes intellectual property and commercial cases around the country for some of the world’s most innovative technology and life sciences companies. Resident in the Austin Office, he serves as Global Vice Chair of Latham’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice and leads our IP practice in Texas.  He also has deep ties to the Bay Area, previously chaired the Silicon Valley and Bay Area Litigation & Trial Departments, and maintains an office in Silicon Valley. Plaintiffs and defendants turn to Jeff for a wide range of issues, including patent, trade secret, and commercial matters. He counsels clients with pragmatic and practical advice to help them steer clear of problems when they can, and navigate them safely when they do arise. Jeff has a demonstrated ability to translate complex technological issues into core themes that persuade juries. He regularly tries cases across the country, including in state and federal courts in California, Texas, Delaware, and before the International Trade Commission (ITC). Academic and Public Service Jeff is an adjunct lecturer at Berkeley Law, teaching the Patent Litigation II course. He co-authors the Federal Judicial Center’s definitive how-to guide for federal judges on patent litigation, which is now in its third edition. He served as a deputy district attorney for Santa Clara County, trying numerous criminal cases to verdict.

Christopher Mulligan

Christopher Mulligan is a partner in Weil’s Private Funds practice and is based in Washington, D.C. Chris represents a wide range of asset managers, including some of the largest and most complex private fund advisers in the world, as well as middle-market and newly-formed advisers, across a suite of regulatory issues. Chris acts as outside regulatory counsel to asset managers, providing counsel regarding SEC examinations and investigations, marketing rule compliance, fund formation issues, mock examinations, SEC registration, Form ADV, Form PF, code of ethics, custody issues, LPA compliance, annual reviews and strategic advice.

Graham Price is a counsel in Weil’s Banking & Finance practice and based in Hong Kong. Dually qualified in England & Wales and Hong Kong, Graham focuses on both finance and restructuring matters across the Asia-Pacific region. He represents private equity sponsors, private credit funds, major institutional lenders and asset managers on a wide range of finance transactions, including cross-border leveraged financings, restructurings, special situations, direct lending, margin loans, real estate finance and corporate facilities.

Gilles Teerlinck

Gilles Teerlinck is a partner in the London Finance practice and a member of the European High Yield team. Gilles advises issuer and underwriter clients, as well as alternative capital investors on international capital markets and cross-border leveraged finance transactions, with a particular focus on high-yield bond financings and acquisition financings. Gilles also advises on debt liability management transactions, restructurings, initial public offerings and U.S. securities law matters. Minna Zhang

Minna Zhang is an associate in the Restructuring Department of the Firm’s Hong Kong office. She has experience advising on contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency-related matters, acting for a wide range of stakeholders including debtors, creditors and insolvency practitioners. Minna has been involved in corporate insolvencies and restructuring transactions in Australia and Hong Kong, and has worked on cross-border transactions involving the PRC, the US and the Cayman Islands.
