Career

He represents national and international clients, investment funds and individual clients in complex mergers and acquisitions transactions, as well as in the main cartel investigations, negotiation of leniency agreements and unilateral conduct conducted by the Brazilian Antitrust Authority (CADE).

With extensive experience in the public sector, he acted for 8 years in the Specialized Federal Attorney General’s Office with the Administrative Council for Economic Defense in providing legal advice to the Agency in merger and acquisition analysis processes, antitrust conduct sanctioning-processes, monitoring compliance with CADE decisions and definition of the legal strategy for the advisory and litigation areas. He was CADE’s Deputy Chief Prosecutor between 2018 and 2022.

In recent years, he has been in direct and daily contact with CADE authorities, Regulatory Agencies, antitrust lawyers and auditors from well-known consultancies.
