Mark has over 25 years’ experience in dealing with a variety of personal injury claims.

Mark’s main areas of expertise include:

  • Public sector recreational claims. Representing the Forestry Commission and The Royal Parks in relation to public liability claims. Dealing with a variety of claims under the Occupier’s Liability Acts, Highways Act 1980 and Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, to include tree claims, mountain bike/cycling accidents, tripping/slipping claims, designated play areas/facilities, operational activities on land, barrier incidents. A number of cases have been successfully defended to trial. Mark has advised the Forestry Commission on policy regarding on recreational access on their land holdings.
  • Hotel and Leisure Sector (Travel Law). A wide range of travel/leisure/travel related claims either under the Package Travel Regulations (90/314) or litigated directly in other jurisdictions, covering personal injury and quality issues. Extensive experience of dealing with the issues of jurisdiction and applicable law. Mark has a clear understanding of personal injury issues involved with multi-jurisdictional cases.
  • Aviation sector. Dealing with passenger claims on behalf of Alitalia. This work includes personal injury claims under the Montreal Convention, delay/baggage claims under the Denied Boarding Regulations (261/2004), claims under the European Small Claims Procedure, and advising in relation to policy matters with the CAA.”
