Shabnam is a senior associate in our Commercial Practice. She specialises in commercial law and ICT and has extensive experience of a broad range of partnerships between the public and private sector. This includes advising on various ICT outsourcing arrangements and advising on public procurement issues.

Shabnam has worked on a number of projects which have had the primary purpose of achieving savings for public bodies.
 
Shabnam's recent experience includes:

Advising the National Policing Improvement Agency on Project MIDAS which included providing advice on all aspects of public procurement, bespoking the OGC Model ICT Services agreement and schedules and working with the client team in negotiations with bidders.

Advising Birmingham City Council on its innovative Business Transformation Strategic Partnership. This involved advice from the first stages of procurement through to timely completion of the agreement. Shabnam has also recently advised on the Council's latest variation to the agreement.

Working as part of a team engaged in Sheffield City Council's Outstanding Sheffield Programme. This involved drafting the contract and attending negotiation meetings with one of the bidders.

Leading negotiations for a private sector client on the ICT aspects for several Building Schools for the Future projects and taking all the projects to successful close.

Providing procurement advice to the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children's Services and drafting commercial agreements for the same client.
