James Lawson leads our residential development team in Yorkshire and the North-East.Whilst James’ particular focus is on transactions in this region, he also regularly advises on deals across the country including development schemes in London.

James is a residential development specialist covering all aspects of residential development, acting for housebuilders, landowners and mixed use developers.

James’ expertise covers acquisitions, disposals, site set ups, site assembly, joint ventures, options and consortium agreements.

Recent experience includes advising:

• major house builders on options and strategic land matters across the Yorkshire/North East region

• Urban Splash on mixed use development schemes across the North, including its award winning Lister Mills scheme in Bradford

• a consortium of landowners on a disposal of a 120 acre development site

• a developer on an £18m acquisition of a mixed use development scheme site on London

• a developer on a joint venture development agreement for a 240 unit modular housing scheme
