Position

Philipp von Holst is an international counsel. He has a broad international practice with a focus on private equity, cross-border mergers & acquisitions and financing transactions. His second focus is on white collar defense, internal investigations and compliance assessment. Mr. von Holst is also a member of the firm’s Africa Practice Group and has worked on various prominent Africa related transactions in the private equity space in recent years.

Memberships

Mr. von Holst is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and a co-founder of Pro Bono Deutschland e.V., an association for the promotion of pro bono legal advice in Germany. Mr. von Holst is admitted to the Frankfurt bar (1992) and the New York bar (1996).

Education

Mr. von Holst graduated as a Rechtsreferendar in 1989 from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and as an Assessor in 1992 from the Bavarian Ministry of Justice. He received an LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 1995.
